ABOUT ME

Hi there. My name is Shahid.

Also known as Senpai. A name bestowed upon me by my dear friends and colleagues.

I currently work for a large company that offers solutions for the enterprise. You may have heard of it. It's called ServiceNow. If you've never heard of it, put down your 's and visit their website. You're missing out on a lot.

Anyway. This site is about me. Me, me, me.

MY CV

Life is like pages in a book

Let's see where this journey takes us.

  • Assisted development teams with investigating escalated Incidents
  • Delivered and co-wrote new hire training
  • One-to-one reviews and coaching
  • Tasted Service Portal development. It was sweet.
  • Hiding in the shadow of the community answering to the call of help and blog posts
  • Specialised in the User Experience side of the platform
    • CMS (Jelly, CSS, Javascript)
    • Troubleshooting client-side and server-side scripts (Javascript + Rhino)
  • Took on escalations from other Support teams and resolved them
    • Around this time, Customer Support was split into groups according to parts of the platform
  • Training and coaching new hires
  • This is where my ServiceNow life began.
  • Managed the weekend rota, while waiting for the new manager to start.
  • Fronted the phones
  • Investigated issues across the platform
    • User Interface
    • Integrations (LDAP, Email, SOAP)
    • Performance
    • Automations (mainly workflows)
